Duration: 2pm - 5pm

Try your hand at pottery – no experience needed

A relaxed and playful introduction to working with clay. In this hands-on session, you’ll explore both hand-building and throwing on the pottery wheel, guided by one of our experienced tutors.

Perfect if you’ve always wanted to give pottery a go, or you're looking for a fun, creative experience to enjoy solo or with a friend.

What to expect:

  • A friendly 3-hour workshop in our welcoming studio

  • Try two core techniques:
     • Hand-building – shape and sculpt your own piece
     • Throwing – get a feel for the pottery wheel

  • Create up to 2 small pots – we’ll glaze and fire your favourites, ready to collect in 4–6 weeks

  • No need to bring anything – tools, clay and aprons are all provided

  • All places must be booked in advance

  • Bookings close 24 hours before the course start time

  • We reserve the right to cancel if minimum numbers aren’t met. In this case, you’ll be notified at least 3 working days before the course start date.
