A Place to Learn, Play and Make with Clay
This studio began with a simple idea: that creativity is something we’re all born with—and it never truly leaves us. Sometimes it just needs a little space (and a bit of encouragement) to come back to life.
Founded by ceramist and teacher Cáit Gould, our open access studio is a cosy, welcoming hub for anyone looking to reconnect with their creative self. Whether you haven’t picked up a paintbrush or pinched a pot since school, or you’re someone who can’t walk past a pottery mug without turning it over—this is your place.
Set in the heart of [Location], the studio is open to absolute beginners, seasoned makers, and everyone in between. We offer one-day workshops, six-week classes, and membership options for those wanting regular access to the tools, space, and community that make pottery so special.
This is more than a ceramics class. It’s a chance to slow down, get stuck in, laugh when things wobble (literally), and walk away with something you made with your own hands. You might surprise yourself—most people do.
Meet Cáit
Founder · Ceramist · Tea Enthusiast
Cáit is the heartbeat of the studio—an experienced maker with a calm, kind approach that puts even the most nervous of first-timers at ease. She believes that clay is for everyone, not just the ‘naturally creative’ or the confident.
With over 20 years of experience working in ceramics and teaching, Cáit brings a wealth of knowledge, a playful spirit, and a genuine love of the craft to every session. Her work has been shown in exhibitions across the UK, but she’s just as proud of the bowl a student makes on their first day as she is of her own collection.
She started the studio after years of hearing the same thing:
“I used to love art when I was younger, but I just stopped.”
This space is her answer to that. A place where creativity doesn’t have to be perfect or productive. It just has to feel good.
When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her working on her own wheel in the corner, usually with a biscuit in hand and Radio 4 playing softly in the background.
